Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

The city of Prague is a place with romantic appeal, cosmopolitan character and festive atmosphere. It definitely rivals the cities of Rome and Paris when it comes to romantic destinations and when people are looking for a special place to celebrate a certain occasion. The Czech capital has it all – riverside terraces, cozy candlelit cellars, pubs, cafes and romantic Prague apartments where you can stay. There is an excellent selection of romantic restaurants that are to guarantee a special evening out.

Among the places for some fine dining that are to be considered in Prague, is the restaurant La Degustation, which is among the top restaurants in the city. Their website to check is here – http://www.ladegustation.cz/en/. Other great restaurants are offered under the Kampa group and these are actually three restaurants – Kampa Park, Hergetova Cihelna and Cowboys. The website of these restaurants is given here http://www.kampagroup.com/en/index.php These places, as well as the cocktail roof terrace U Prince http://www.hoteluprince.com/hotel-en, which is overlooking the Old Town Square and the astronomical clock. These places are not cheap though, thus keep that in mind.

Celeste Restaurant

Other romantic restaurants that deserve the special attention include the Celeste Restaurant, which is placed in the New Town and is set on the top floor of the Dacing House. This place is very stylish and has a great menu, not to mention the lovely views over the city of Prague. There is a very nice terrace there, but open only in the summer months. Another great place to consider for some fine dining is Terasa U Zlate Studne Restaurant, which is located in the Lesser Town in Prague. It is also placed on the roof of a nice hotel and reveals a panoramic view towards the city, the Old Town and the Vltava River.

Again in the Lesser Town district, one could find the Coda Restaurant, which is among the best dining places in the Czech capital. The dishes served here are innovative, balanced and served with care. There is live piano music every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evening. A good place for a romantic evening out is also the Mlynec Restaurant in the Old Town of Prague. The restaurant serves palatable dishes and reveals a lovely panorama to the Old Town Bridge Tower and the Charles Bridge. Another great place in the Old Town is also V Zatisi Wine Restaurant, which is placed near the Betlemska Square. The place is famous for its excellent choice of wines. Again in the Old Town is located the Buddha Bar Restaurant, which offers Asian food and nice interior, not to mention the world music that is being played.

In the New Town of Prague could be visited the Triton Restaurant, which appeals with its design that resembles a stalactite cave. The place is very good for a romantic night with that special person next to you. Another favorite place in the Castle District of the city is Piano Nobile at Villa Richter, which is placed below the Prague Castle. The restaurant is located among gardens and vines in one of the oldest vineyards of Bohemia.
